Who. MARKETIVE HUB SRL (CUI 55660020, Drum Ghindari nr. 73A, Bl. Jovial 3, Et. P, Ap. SC4, Sector 5, București) makes Beacon. Questions about your data: mark@marketivehub.com.
The short version. Beacon runs on your computer. What it finds and what you type stays on your computer. We, Marketive Hub, don't receive it.
What Beacon keeps, on your computer: your LinkedIn sign-in (so it can read posts for you), the leads it finds (public posts, companies and the people who posted them), your notes, lists and settings, your keys for the services you connect, and your licence key. Crash reports stay on your computer too.
What Beacon reads. LinkedIn, signed in as you, so LinkedIn sees it as your account reading. Public sources for company facts: the Trade Register and ANAF, e-licitatie.ro (public contracts), mfe.gov.ro (EU funding), Romanian news sites and companies' own websites. Beacon asks them about companies, never about you.
What leaves your computer, only if you switch it on:
- Telegram gets your lead alerts, and reads what you forward to your bot.
- Atlas gets the leads, notes and lists you send or share.
- openapi.ro is asked for Romanian company details.
- A webhook you set gets every new lead.
- A CSV folder you pick gets every new lead; if that folder syncs to a cloud, the leads go there too.
- The AI. By default a local model on your computer, and nothing is sent out. If you point Beacon at a hosted AI, or add a Claude key, the posts it checks are sent to that provider.
Each service follows its own privacy policy.
What Beacon sends by itself. To check for updates, Beacon asks GitHub (where its releases are published) for the newest version. That request carries no personal data, but GitHub sees your internet address. Problem reports and support emails are only sent if you send them yourself.
About the people in your leads. The leads include public information about the people who posted, such as their name and role. You decide what to do with it, so for that data you are the controller under the GDPR. Use it only for a legitimate business reason, and delete what you no longer need. Beacon's Personal data page lets you export or delete everything about one person.
How long. Until you delete it. Settings → Personal data → Erase all Beacon data removes everything (it goes to the Trash first), and Download all my data gives you a copy before you do.
Your rights. You can see, correct, export or delete your data in Beacon at any time. For anything else, write to mark@marketivehub.com; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).
Cookies. None.
Changes. When something important changes, Beacon tells you.
